Tigers shut out Fairdale in final grid scrimmage

The Hopkinsville High School football team traveled to Louisville Thursday night and defeated Fairdale 12-0 in its last preseason scrimmage.

Aiden King had two touchdown runs to lead the Tigers.

Treston Kay had five receptions for 102 yards.

The defense shined, not only shutting out Fairdale, but Jayon Bass and Tremayne Clay each had an interception. The defense also had five sacks on the night.

Hoptown will open its regular season next Friday night in Bowling Green against Greenwood.
