It was a tough ask for the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors Saturday as they were playing without leading scorer Jason Leek against the Foundation Christian Academy in the opening game of the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Hoops Classic.
Leek was taking the ACT and was not able to get back to Hopkinsville High School before the game ended and Foundation rolled to a 67-22 victory over the Warriors.
The Falcons (4-1) jumped out to a 23-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back. Griffen Lohden did most of the damage as the junior guard scored seven of his game-high 22 points in the opening frame.
The Falcons led 39-10 at halftime and they pushed the advantage to 59-17.
Freshman guard Cadyn Travis led the way for the Warriors (1-4) with seven points.
Logan Nix had 18 and Mason Moore added 13 for FCA.
HCA will return to action Monday night at Union County.
