South Warren runs past Christian County

South Warren jumped out to a 17-1 lead and never looked back in routing Christian County 92-65 Saturday afternoon in the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Hoops Classic.

The Colonels were playing without starters Zion Acree and Kam Williams in addition to key subs Tom Johnson and James Farley.

The Spartans (5-1) led 25-7 after one quarter and 53-27 at halftime. They led by as much as 32 points in the third quarter.

Despite the loss, the Colonels’ sophomore center Rahsean Stevenson scored 23 points. Senior Na’Darien Rowe had all 11 of his points in the second half and Zyon Wharton added 10 for the Colonels, who fell to 0-6.

South Warren had balanced scoring with Camden Page leading the way with 14 points. Griffen Rardin provided 13 and Jace Jarvis added 12.

Christian County returns to play Tuesday as part of a girls’/boys’ doubleheader at Bowling Green. The F&M Bank Pregame Show will air at 5:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
