Lady Marshals knock off Lady Colonels, 9-4

Marshall County turned the tables on the Christian County Lady Colonels on Monday afternoon in a high school softball game at Lady Colonel Field.

Two days after the Lady Colonels knocked off the Lady Marshals 8-5 at Trigg County, Marshall County took a 9-4 win over Christian County.

Avery Adcock went 3-for-3 to lead the Lady Colonels (4-2).

Marshall County scored three runs in the top of the third and added three more in the top of the fourth to take a 6-1 advantage.

The Lady Colonels narrowed the game to 6-3 after five innings, but another three-run inning in the top of the sixth put the game away for Marshall County.

Alondra Rodriguez and a double and single and Chloe Almy had a double for Christian County, which is scheduled to play Thursday at Calloway County.
