Christian County led Paducah Tilghman for most of their high school baseball game on Saturday at Colonel Field. But it’s the final score that matters.
Paducah rallied from a 5-1 deficit to pick up a 9-8, eight-inning win over the Colonels.
Christian County committed seven errors in the game that helped the Blue Tornado pick up their second win over the Colonels in two days.
Paducah scored three in the top of the fifth to narrow the gap to 5-4. After Christian County scored three in the bottom of the fifth, Paducah answered with four more runs to draw even at 8-8.
The Blue Tornado manufactured a run in the eight using a walk, a hit, and a sacrifice fly.
Christian County put two runners in scoring position but the final two batters struck out to end the threat and the game.
Aiden Lewis led the Colonels at the plate, going 3-for-4. Blake Boehman had a double and single.
The Colonels slipped to 8-6 on the season and will play at Logan County on Tuesday.
