University Heights Academy won four of five singles matches on the way to a 6-1 high school tennis win over Hopkinsville on Monday afternoon at the Ruff Park tennis courts.
Allie Sandifer got the Lady Blazers off to a good start, winning the No. 1 singles match 8-2 over Hoptown’s Chiani Leak.
The Lady Tigers’ Brooke Stewart tied things up with an 8-2 win over Ashton Grace.
However, it was all UHA after that as Stella Del Valle, Brooklyn Chesnut and Georgia Gray picked up singles wins.
In doubles, the Lady Blazers’ Grace and Del Valle defeated Hoptown’s Evelyn Bangart and Eliza Renshaw 8-1 and UHA’s Cecelia Langhi and Alyssa Grace knocked off Hoptown’s Callie Loden and Courtney Scott 8-6.
