A three-run third inning sent visiting Crittenden County to a 3-1 high school softball win over host Christian County Thursday night.
Avery Adcock went 3-for-3 with a double to lead the Lady Colonels, but the senior, who has signed with the University of Missouri, was nearly all the offense Christian County could muster.
The Lady Colonels jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning Adcock doubled and moved to third on a ground ball by Chloe Almy. Adcock scored on a wild pitch.
Adcock and Alyssa Petterson teamed to throw a five-hitter.
Talyn Ezell had the only other hit in the game for Christian County, which slipped to 11-9 on the season.
Christian County is scheduled to go to Greenwood tonight.
