Aiden Lewis had key hits in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings and helped Christian County defeat No. 18-ranked Bowling Green 8-7 Saturday in a high school baseball game.
Lewis finished the day 3-for-4 with three RBI. None of his hits were bigger than the two-out, two-run single in the top of the eighth that gave the Colonels an 8-5 advantage.
The Purples rallied in the bottom of the eighth for a pair of runs, but Sebastian Dazey struck out two batters to end the threat and the game.
The Colonels improved to 11-10 on the season and return to action today at Heritage Christian Academy in a District 8 game.
