Colonels’ Johnson earns pair of victories at Apollo Invite

Johnson ran first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.15 seconds. He came back to take first place in the 200-meter dash in 22.69 seconds.

The Colonels’ star wasn’t finished, as he ran second in the 400-meter dash in 51.43 seconds.

CJ McCarley also had another good meet for Christian County. The senior took second in the Shot Put with a toss of 49-feet, 5-inches. McCarley also was third in the Discus with a throw of 148-feet, 11 inches.

Jordan Morton finished seventh in the Long Jump with a leap of 19-feet, 5.25-inches.

Cayden Cline picked up a pair of top-10 finishes. Cline was eighth in the One-Mile Run and ninth in the 800-meter run.

Marshall County swept the meets winning both the girls’ and boys’ divisions.

In the boys’ meet, the Marshals had 91 points, followed by Henderson County (59) and Caldwell County (53).

In the girls’ meet, the Lady Marshals scored 86 points to beat Owensboro (67) and Daviess County (63.5).
