Former CCHS star Trice injured, misses Steelers preseason game

Former Christian County High School football star Cory Trice Jr. did not play in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first preseason scrimmage game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday night.

According to a report by Steelers’ Insider Michael Obermuller, Trice suffered a hamstring-related injury on Friday.

Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly said Trice’s latest injury, which he called a groin injury, could prevent him from making the 2025 Steelers’ roster.

Trice, a cornerback who played collegiately at Purdue, was drafted by the Steelers in 2023. Due to injuries, he has only suited up in six games. Last year had had 14 tackles and one interception.
