The University Heights Academy girls’ soccer team advanced to the All “A” Classic State Soccer Tournament quarterfinals with an 8-0 victory over visiting Mayfield on Monday night.
The Lady Blazers scored three times in the opening 14 minutes and were never threatened by the Lady Cardinals.
Audrey Perry, Kendall Hancock, and Alyssa Grice each had two goals on the night.
Skylar Cantrell got the scoring started with a goal in the opening five minutes. Perry finished off the Lady Cardinals with a Penalty kick with 7:49 to play.
Cecelia Langhi also had a goal for UHA (7-1-1), which advances to the All “A” quarterfinals where it will play either Beechwood or the Region 10 champion at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 19 at Louisville Collegiate.
