University Heights Academy’s cross country team participated in the Logan County Cougar Run on Saturday in Russellville.
In the boys’ varsity race, University Heights Academy’s Graham Conrad was the top finisher as he took 18th in a time of 18:49. Jude Finch ran 39th in 19:49.
The race was held at the site of the Class 1-A, Region 1 meet next month. The Blazers finished ninth out of 20 teams, two spots behind Class 1-A rival Fort Campbell and a spot ahead of Dawson Springs.
Eighth-grader Ronan Croney-Sallie finished 49th in 20:08 and senior Zech Davis was 95th in 22:04. Garrett Bowling finished 96th in 22:05.
Hayden Hayes ran 137th with a time of 24:22 and Lucas Stine finished 144th in 25:06.
Apollo won the boys’ team title with 66 points, followed by Union County (95), and Graves County (113). UHA finished with 253 points.
In the girls’ 5K race, Molly Cavinder ran a solid race, finishing 95th in 32:13.
Finn Roberts ran in the Boys’ 2,000-meter Elementary Division and finished 48th in 12:45.
UHA will head to Owensboro Saturday in the Daviess County Classic.
