The Final Season Ever of Hopkinsville High School Football Has Come to a Close

The Hopkinsville High School football program came to a close Friday night at the hands of South Warren   in the second round of the Class 6-A playoffs in Bowling Green.

The No. 2-ranked Spartans improved to 11-0 on the season and move on to the next round against Henderson Co. who upset McCracken Co. Meanwhile, the Tigers saw their final season end at 7-5. Two of those losses came to South Warren.

The Spartans jumped out to a 13-point lead and held a 29 to 16 halftime advantage.

Hopkinsville’s offense was held in check most of the evening, although senior wide receiver Aiden Jesse had a big night for the Tigers 7 receptions for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns. James Bradley Jr., rushed for 59-yards and scored 4 points on 2 two point tries to finish the season with 224 points.

Hopkinsville Quarterback Jasiah McCarley connected to Aiden Jesse on touchdown passes of 81, 27 and 17 yards on the night.

South Warren Quarterback Camden Page Threw for 224 yards and 1   touchdown. His scoring toss went to Tucker Sears and covered 41 yards.

South Warren pushed its lead to 51 to 16 heading into the fourth quarter.

South Warren ended the night with 521 yards of offense compared to 246 for Hopkinsville.
