Former CCHS star Trice to miss rest of Steelers’ season

The 2025 NFL season is over for former Christian County High School football star Corey Trice Jr.

According to a report by Josh Carney of Steelers Depot, a knee injury Trice suffered last month when he was trying to get back to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 53-man roster after a preseason hamstring injury, sent the former Colonels’ star back to injured reserve.

Trice’s 21-day window to be activated closed on Wednesday meaning he will remain on the Steelers’ Reserve/Injured List for the rest of the season.

Trice, who saw his 2024 season end early with an injury, did not play in a game this season for the Steelers.

The seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has battled hamstring and knee injuries since he has joined the Steelers. He tore his ACL during training camp in his rookie season then dealt with hamstring injuries much of year two. He played in only 194 snaps defensively last season.
