A little over a week after Webster County blew out the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers 70-48 in Tiger Gym, the Lady Trojans had to fend off the visiting Hoptown squad 58-54 Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville led 11-9 after one quarter before Webster took a 25-20 lead at halftime.
Fouls plagued both teams in the second half as the Lady Trojans shot 26 free throws in the final two quarters while Hoptown attempted 14 free throws. Webster hit 16 of their attempts while the Lady Tigers made only six of their chances.
Dominique Allensworth led Hopkinsville with 17 points. Josie Cardwell led the Lady Trojans with 24 points. Addison Wright added 14 for Webster.
The Lady Tigers fall to 1-6 and return to action Thursday at Muhlenberg County.
