Heritage Christian Academy played one of its best defensive games of the year but the offense struggled and visiting Community Christian held off the Lady Warriors 30-21 Tuesday night in a girls’ high school basketball game.
HCA held Community Christian to 11 points in the first half, but still trailed 11-7. The visitors then outscored the Lady Warriors 9-3 in the third quarter to pull away and hold on for the win.
Ava DeJager led HCA with nine points. The Lady Warriors slip to 0-4 on the season while Community Christian improves to 1-5.
The Lady Warriors are back in action Monday night at home against Christian Fellowship.
