Lady Tigers, Lady Cols set for final meeting at CCHS

The Christian County Lady Colonels and Hopkinsville Lady Tigers will renew their cross-town rivalry tonight to kick off a night of activities in Lyle Dunbar Gym.

The Lady Colonels enter tonight’s 6 p.m. game with a 5-6 record and are coming off a 59-9 rout of Webster County on Tuesday night.

Hoptown is 1-8 and has lost five straight games, including a 66-27 defeat at the hands of Owensboro on Tuesday.

Tonight’s game will be the last between the schools in Lyle Dunbar Gym, a fact not lost on Lady Colonels’ Head Coach Kiki Radford, who also played in the series for Christian County.

Hopkinsville Head Coach Keith Leslie downplayed the game, saying his team is focused on the next game on the schedule.

Senior Anaysia Bagwell, who recently surpassed the 2,000th point mark, leads Christian County, averaging 17.5 points per game. Hopkinsville is led by sophomores Serenity Ewing and Laelah Watkins, who both average nearly 10 points per game.

The Lady Colonels have won eight of the last nine meetings with the Lady Tigers. The last Hopkinsville win in the series came in the 2024 District 8 championship game, 60-58, in overtime.

Following the girls’ game, the CCHS 2026 Hall of Fame Class will be introduced ahead of the boys’ game, which is scheduled to begin around 8 p.m.

Tickets to tonight’s games are $10 and are available at gofan.com. Here is the link for the tickets: https://gofan.co/event/5592946?schoolId=KY8632
