The Christian County Colonels’ wrestling team will open the State Duals Meet against 12th-seed Covington Catholic on Saturday in the Corbin Arena.
Colonels’ Head Coach Dee Leavell said Tuesday night that his team is entering Saturday’s Class 2-A event in Corbin as the No. 5 seed and is confident after defeating Ohio County 38-34 last Friday night in the Section 1 championship.
The winner of the Christian County-Covington Catholic match advances to take on No. 4 seed Harrison County, which received a first-round bye.
