CCHS’s Bailey, HHS’s Teal earn top-10 finishes at indoor meet

A pair of local runners earned top-10 finishes over the weekend in the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association President’s Day Weekend Invite at Louisville’s Norton Healthcare and Learning Center.

Christian County High School’s Satona Bailey won the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.48 seconds.

Bailey edged out Lexington Henry Clay’s Laquereon Green, who finished second in 6.60 seconds and Pleasure Ridge Park’s Kevondre Ballard and South Oldham’s Anthony Brown, who both crossed the finish line in 6.61 seconds.

Hopkinsville High School’s Keyshun Teal also earned a top-10 finish in the 55-meter hurdles.

The Tigers’ star took eighth place in a time of 8.19 seconds.

Meanwhile, Hopkinsville High School’s 4×400-meter relay team took 10th with a time of 3:49.43.
