Half of the Hopkinsville High School representatives at the 2026 KHSAA State Wrestling Meet are still alive entering today’s final day of the meet at the Alltech Arena in Lexington.
Hopkinsville’s Ayden Brison (113 pounds) dropped his first match, but won his next two to move on into the consolation bracket.
Brison’s third match saw him trailing late, but he executed a perfectly timed move that resulted in a pin of his opponent and kept him alive for today’s action.
Teammate Christon Johnson (120) dropped his first match of the day on Thursday, but rebounded to win his second match. However, he was eliminated from the tournament in the third match of the day.
Union County leads the team standings after Day 1 with 135.5 points, followed by Boyle County (89.5), Paducah Tilghman (88.5), Madison Central (72) and Martin County (70).
Hopkinsville is in 74th place with five points entering today.
