A Christian County High School basketball star has made her college decision.
The Lady Colonels’ Anaysia Bagwell announced via social media on Wednesday that she will be attending Berea College.
Bagwell had a stellar career at Christian County, eclipsing the 2,000-point mark during a game earlier this season at Todd County Central. The 5-foot-5 guard finishes her high school career trailing only Arnika Brown on the Lady Colonels’ scoring list, according to the CCHS Lady Colonels’ basketball coaching staff.
This season, Bagwell averaged 17.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. She hit 53 three-pointers during her senior campaign.
Bagwell earned All-District 8 and All-Region 2 while leading the Lady Colonels to a 14-10 record and a District 8 championship.
A signing ceremony for Bagwell will be held later this spring at the high school.
