Christian County High School’s Satona Bailey continued his good start to the 2026 high school track season.
Bailey took first place in the 100-mter dash and second in the 200-meter dash Saturday at the Invitational of the South meet at Marshall County High School.
Cayden Cline also had a big day for the Colonels as he took eighth in the 400-meter dash and ninth in the 1,600-meter run.
Lucas Coats also earned a pair of top-10 finishes in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs by taking fifth and eighth, respectively
A pair of Colonels shined in the field events, including Chy Harris, who took ninth in the long jump and Jimmarion Byrd, who was 10th in the shot put.
The Colonels’ 4×100-meter relay team was third and the 4×800-meter relay team took fifth. Christian County’s 200-meter relay team and 400-meter relay team also fared well, taking eighth and seventh, respectively.
Marshall County won the boys’ meet with 134 points, followed by Clarksville Rossview (78), and Henderson County (75.75). Christian County finished eighth with 38 points.
In the girls’ meet, Christian County ended the day in 15th place with 15 points.
Calloway County won the girls’ meet with 175 points, followed by McCracken County (139.5) and Clarksville Northwest (59).
Carlie Hobson led the Lady Colonels as the junior finished seventh in the shot put and ninth in the discus throw.
Christian County won the 4×400-meter relay and the 200-meter relay team took ninth. The Lady Colonels’ 100-meter relay team finished 10th.
