The Christian County High School girls’ archery team took ninth place in the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament over the weekend at the Chase Fulcher Archery Building in Henderson.
The Lady Colonels were led by Audrina Croney, who shot a 267 and was 42nd overall among female participants.
Henderson County won the girls’ title with 1,951 points. Webster County (1,945) was second and Murray took third (1,940).
Dakeyiah Catlett earned a top 50 finish by taking 47th with a 265 and Arebella Triplett was 55th with a 262.
Other Lady Colonels competing at the region tournament included Sydnee Kellett (254, 68th), Karma Moore (254, 69th), Hadassah Elkins (252, 73rd), Natalia Filidei (250, 82nd), Jayleigh Campbell (250, 85th), Caylin Berman (248, 90th), Azlynn Doan (247, 97th), Chloe Smallwood (245, 99th), and AliAnna Bailey (224, 113th).
Christian County finished 11th in the boys’ tournament and were led by Grayson Green, who had a 272 and was 55th individually.
For the boys, Marshall County won the team title with 1,985 points, followed by Madisonville-North Hopkins (1,969) and Todd Co. (1,952).
Tobias Webber and Sam Norwine each shot a 271 for Christian County and finished 57th and 59th, respectively.
Other Colonels competing included Brody Jackson (269, 65th), Jaxson Hall (267, 73rd), Dakari Harris (256, 109th), Dominic Arevalo (252, 115th), Preston Smale (239, 130th), Derrick Chambless (238, 131st), Josue Benitez (237, 133rd), Kourtney Samsel (231, 135th), and Brayden Deluga (227, 137th).
Henderson’s Abram Moore won the individual title with a 294. The Lady Colonels’ Abby Langston won the girls’ individual crown with a 292. Todd Central’s Taylor Cox was fifth in the girls’ individual standings with a 284.
