The Hopkinsville Tigers track team won the Calloway County Laker Track and Field Invitational Saturday in Murray.
On a rainy Saturday, the Tigers topped 25 other teams from three states with 121 points.
It was a big day for Keyshun Teal, who won the boys’ 110-meter hurdles and Hoptown teammate Kayden Humphrey took second place. Teal also won the 300-meter hurdles, Humphrey was third, and Carlo Jones was fifth.
Teal also took second in the 200-meter dash and Willie Ennels finished fifth.
Tyson Cavinder had a pair of top-five finishes on the day. The junior finished third in the 1,600-meter run and fifth in the 3,200-meter run.
Savior Davis ran third in the 800-meter run and LaMarion Jeffers was a close fifth place.
James Bradley Jr., grabbed a top-10 finish by taking seventh in the 100-meter dash. Jones also took ninth in the 400-meter dash.
The Tigers’ relay teams had a strong day on the track. Leading the way was the 4×800-meter relay team of Cavinder, Davis, Jeffers, and Jones, who earned a silver medal.
The 4×400-meter relay team of Jeffers, Davis, Ray, and Jones and the 200-meter relay team of Bradley Jr., Kyrien Cannon, Ray, and Ennels both took fourth in their respective races.
The Tigers’ 4×100-meter relay team of Cannon, Tavares Burgess, Humphrey, and Mekhi Manning Lewis took sixth.
In the field events, the Tigers’ Jaylen Ray captured the long jump gold medal and Teal took third in the triple jump. Mychael Pulley was fifth in the triple jump. Ennels was sixth and Bradley Jr., was 10th, respectively in the long jump.
Pulley also finished fourth in the high jump.
Hoptown’s Tyson Cavinder, Savior Davis, Lamareon Jeffers, and Carlo Jones finished second in the 4×800-meter relay.
In the field events, the Tigers’ Jaylen Ray edged Christian County’s Chy Harris for the win in the Long jump.
Teal was third in the triple jump.
In the girls’ meet, Hopkinsville finished fourth place.
Leading the way for the Lady Tigers was senior Lauren Mayes, who picked up two gold medals on the day.
Lauren Mays won the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run.
Alanni Quarles earned a silver medal in the 400-meter dash and Leaunna Wilkerson took third place in the 100-meter hurdles. Ollia Dixon crossed the finish line seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.
Kaniya Jackson Grundy, Dixon, and Wilkerson finished fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively in the 300-meter hurdles.
The Lady Tigers’ 100-meter relay team of Jayla Brunson, Ollia Dixon, Quarles, and Aieriona Spikes finished second.
Hoptown’s girls’ 200-meter relay team of Jackson Grundy, Quarles, Wilkerson, and Jayla Brunson finished fifth and the 400-meter relay team of Alexis Herrera Lovato, Wilkerson, Aireona Spikes, and Quarles also finished fifth.
