University Heights Academy will seek its fifth Region 2 All “A” Baseball Tournament championship and the first since 2016 tonight when the Blazers take on Caldwell County at VFW Ballpark in Princeton.
The seventh-ranked Blazers enter tonight’s game at 11-2 while the Tigers have won seven straight games and are 10-2.
UHA defeated defending tournament champion Lyon County 16-0 in three innings on Tuesday night. Caldwell advanced with a 9-4 victory over Crittenden County.
The Blazers have their full arsenal of pitchers available tonight while Caldwell will most likely counter with ace left-hander Ari Wells. The winner of tonight’s game will play host to the Region 1 winner in the first round of the All “A” State Tournament in a date to be determined.
The first pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. with airtime tonight at 5:15 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
