Former HHS star McGee recalled to Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have placed pitcher Brandon Woodruff on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflamation.

That’s big news locally because former Hopkinsville High School pitcher Easton McGee has been recalled to the Brewers from Triple-A Nashville.

McGee started the season with the Brewers but was shipped to the Sounds on April 17.

He played in one game for Milwaukee this season and pitched one inning. The 6-foot-7, right-hander pitched one inning and allowed a hit.

Last season the 28-year-old McGee had several stints with the Brewers, seeing action in nine games. He struck out 13 and walked one and had a 5.91 ERA.
