Third-ranked University Heights Academy was held to only two hits and dropped a 1-0 high school baseball game to host Marshall County Monday night.
Aiden Jones and Josh Pace had the only hits for UHA, which saw its seven-game winning streak halted. Blazers’ pitching limited Marshall to only four hits on the day.
Jaiden Miles started the game and threw two innings, allowing two hits. Hayden Hunt relieved in the third inning and pitched three innings, striking out nine during his stint.
The Marshals pushed across the winning score in the bottom of the fifth on a wild pitch.
The Blazers moved up two spots to No. 3 this week in the Prep Baseball Kentucky Power 25 Poll.
UHA (22-4) is scheduled to play host to Daviess County today.
