Former Christian County High School softball star Avery Adcock announced on her social media page earlier this month that she is entering the transfer portal and leaving the University of Missouri.
Adcock, who will be a sophomore in 2027, signed with the Lady Tigers last year before her senior season at Christian County. She was named the 2025 Region 2 Player of the Year after hitting .568 with 13 home runs and 27 RBIs. She also stole 36 bases.
For her career at Christian County, Adcock hit .482 with 39 home runs and 156 RBI and 127 stolen bases.
On her X account, Adcock thanked Missouri for the opportunity.
During her freshman season with the Tigers, the 2025 CCHS Valedictorian played in 13 games, mostly as a pinch runner. She had three at-bats on the season. She tallied three runs in her rookie year, as well as one walk, for an on-base percentage of .250.
Adcock will have three years college eligibility remaining.
