University Heights Academy got a balanced performance from all four of its golfers and took second place in the Christian County Girls’ Invitational Friday at Western Hills Golf Course.
The Lady Blazers missed winning the tournament by only two shots. Graves County had a 336 to win while UHA followed at 338. McCracken County was third with a 342.
Leading the way for UHA was Campbell Lindsey and Allie Sandifer, who both carded 39 on the back nine on the way to 80s. Ella Perry finished at 83 and Caroline Tucker had a 95.
Christian County was represented by only one golfer. Anslee West shot 129 on the day.
Graves County’s Emlie Miller won the individual medalist honor with a 73. Ohio County’s Molly Amos was second with a 76 and Cecelia Ray, of Marshall County, took third with a 79.
