The Region 1 Wrestling Tournament will take place Saturday at Paducah Tilghman High School.
The top two teams in the state reside in Region 1 as No. 1 Union County and No. 2 Paducah Tilghman will vie for the team championship.
Christian County has several wrestlers expected to challenge for individual titles. Anthony Velasco (119 pounds), Kevondre Young (126), Dane Miller (144), Isaiah Davidson (190) and Treshan Crenshaw (285) are among those expected to contend.
For Hopkinsville, Juan Cannon (120) and Jaylin Littleton (165) are among those expected to challenge for a region crown.
The top four wrestlers in each division qualify for the KHSAA state tournament, which is set for Feb. 27-March 1 at Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
