Heritage Christian Academy has hired Jenny Arvin as its new girls’ head basketball coach.
HCA Athletics Director Matt McGown said in a news release Thursday morning that Arvin’s extensive and successful playing career at Lexington Christian Academy and her experience on the Lady Warriors’ staff last season were factors in her being named coach.
Arvin replaces Josh Bridges, who coached the Lady Warriors for two seasons. The Lady Warriors have struggled since moving to the KHSAA and have gone 1-35 the last two seasons. Bridges, who resigned shortly after the team’s banquet, will remain on the staff as an assistant coach.
After high school Arvin played four seasons at Campbellsville University. She has taught at HCA for the past three years and joined the basketball staff for the 2024-25 season.
McGowan said, “Coach Arvin is excited to help our girls grow in not only their game, but also their character and their walk with the Lord.”
HCA did not have any seniors on this year’s team and will return all five starters.
