Big 1st inning carries Todd past HHS in softball

The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers’ softball team dropped to 0-2 on the season as visiting Todd County Central claimed a 17-0, three-inning victory Thursday afternoon. 

The Lady Rebels scored 11 runs in the top of the first inning and cruised to the win. 

Hoptown was held to only two hits by Todd pitcher Addison Woodall, who also collected three hits for the Lady Rebels (1-1). Seventh-grader Leah Tuttle had both hits for the Lady Tigers. 

Elizabeth Smith suffered the pitching loss for Hoptown, who returns to action tonight at home against Russellville.
