University Heights Academy had little trouble with District 8 foe Fort Campbell as the Blazers rolled to a 15-0 high school baseball win Thursday afternoon at UHA.
The Blazers (2-0, 1-0) got a balanced offensive performance as they racked up nine hits. Eli Finch led the way with a single and double. Courtland Gibson added a pair of hits. Ryan Luckey had a single and a triple and Hayden Hunt and Caden Gibson each added a double.
Meanwhile, Jackson Flynn started on the hill for UHA and allowed no hits and struck out five through three innings. Thomas Hallmark closed out the game with two innings pitched, allowing no hits and struck out two.
The Blazers scored one run in the first and pushed their lead to 4-0 after two innings. A three-run third made it 8-0 and UHA capped off the game with a seven-run fourth.
Jaiden Miles and Luckey each had three RBI.
UHA returns to action Saturday at Owensboro Catholic.
