The University Heights Academy soccer team dropped its All “A” State Tournament quarterfinal match to Bishop Brossart 3-2 on Saturday morning.
The loss dropped the Blazers to 10-4 on the season.
No statistics from the game were reported to WHOP over the weekend.
UHA is scheduled to play Hopkinsville in a District 8 showdown Tuesday night at the Stadium of Champions.
Meanwhile, Todd County Central advanced to the state semifinals with a 2-1 win over Somerset. The match was decided by penalty kicks.
The Rebels would fall to Bethlehem 8-0 Saturday night in the semifinals.
Louisville Collegiate won the state All “A” title 6-0 over Bethlehem on Sunday.
In the girls’ state tournament, UHA fell 3-0 to Bishop Brossart in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon. Brossart went on to win the state All “A” title with a 4-1 victory over Owensboro Catholic on Sunday.
The Lady Blazers (10-2-1) are scheduled to play tonight at Hopkins County Central.
