Colonel wrestlers take 4th place in Cape Girardeau

The Christian County High School wrestling team had a strong performance over the weekend at the prestigious Tiger Classic at Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The Colonels took fourth place in the event, led by Kevondre Young, who took second place in the 126-pound division.

Malachi James (106), Anthony Velasco (113) and Iyobosa Ogbes (157), Tay Martinez (165) each took third place. Placing fourth were Hunter Jorgenson (105) and Nathan Harrison (120).

Others competing for Christian County include Braylan Patla (sixth, 132), Isaiah Davidson (sixth, 190), Jaiden Williams (seventh, 157), Brodie Smith (seventh, 175), and Treshawn Crenshaw (seventh, Heavyweight).

The Colonels will play host to the Christian County Invitational this Saturday.
