The Christian County Colonels broke a four-game losing streak by routing host Fort Campbell 76-41 on Monday night in a District 8 boys’ basketball game.
The Colonels improved to 5-16 overall and 3-0 in District 8. A win against University Heights Academy on Friday night would guarantee the Colonels the No. 1 seed in next month’s District 8 tournament.
Zyon Wharton scored a career-high 27 points Monday night to pace the Colonels, who played without leading scorer and rebounder Rahseasn Stevenson. The Christian County center suffered a concussion on Friday night against Hopkinsville and is not expected to play tonight at Warren Central.

Fort Campbell slipped to 2-16 overall and 0-4 in District 8.
Christian County’s game tonight at Warren Central tips off around 7:30 p.m. with the F&M Bank Pregame show set for 7:15 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
