Colonels win bowling tournament crown; area bowlers make All-Tournament

The Christian County High School bowling team captured its first-ever tournament victory over the weekend at Southern Lanes in Hopkinsville.

The Colonels, who took first place over South Warren in the nine-team event, were led by Jaxson Hall. Hall rolled a two-game total of 385, which was good enough for third place in the boys’ division. The finish garnered Hall a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian Academy’s Braelyn Windle was the girls’ individual champion with a two-game total of 330. She was named to the All-Tournament Team.

South Warren’s Mathew Morrow was the boys’ champion with a 425.

After Hall, Christian County was led by Brycen Newcom, who had a two-game total of 288 and Kane DeGiulio, who finished with a 284. Christian Lane rolled a 273 and Michael DeArmond had a 268.

Hopkinsville was paced by Renegade Watkins, who had a two-game total of 259.

Other Tigers competing included Kyle Bauman (248), Chaison White (245), Brent Rivers (230) and Kamdyne Sharp (156).

Alayna Windle had an impressive day for HCA with a 312. Other Warriors competing included Cameron Oesch (233), Nick Pyle (232), and Jacob Engel (121).

The tournament was co-hosted by Christian County, Hopkinsville, and HCA.
