Crawford named Director of Pitching for Nationals

Christian County resident Grayson Crawford has been named the Director of Pitching for the Washington Nationals.

Crawford, who recently worked for the New York Mets as Assistant Pitching Coordinator, said he will be responsible for oversight of all pitching with the Nationals.

“I am oversight on all decisions on content, have my hands in all acquisitions both professionally and amateur, and also over all coaches and coordinators,” Crawford told WHOP on Wednesday.

Crawford came to Hopkinsville in 2012 as the first coach for the Hoptown Hoppers. He also has coached at the collegiate level and professionally in the New York Yankees organization.
