Fort Campbell rallies past CCHS for district soccer win

The Christian County Colonels saw a 2-0 halftime lead disappear in the second half as host Fort Campbell rallied for a 4-2 District 8 boys’ District 8 soccer win on Thursday night.

Noah Davis scored on a free kick earned by Victor Hernandez and Logan Renshaw scored on a corner kick to help the Colonels take a 2-0 advantage.

However, the second half belonged to Dylan McDonald and the Falcons. Fort Campbell’s senior had a hat trick and Robert Charles added a goal as the Falcons picked up their first win of the season.

Christian County falls to 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in District 8 play. The Colonels are scheduled to play Tuesday at home against Ohio County.

Meanwhile, Fort Campbell improved to 1-2 overall and 1-2 in district play.
