Fort Campbell’s offense too much for Lady Warriors

Fort Campbell had 24 hits and held off host Heritage Christian Academy 15-12 Thursday night in a high school softball game.

HCA was led by Madison Warren, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI. Kailyn Johnson had a home run for the Lady Warriors.

Fort Campbell jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the top of the first before HCA trimmed the lead to 8-4 after two innings.

The Lady Falcons’ offense found its groove again in added solo runs in the third and fifth and three runs in the fourth .

HCA scored a solo run in the third, followed by two in the fourth and four in the fifth.

The Lady Warriors plated one run in the bottom of the seventh but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.

Kynlee Henderson also had a pair of hits for HCA, which fell to 5-6 on the season. Ava DeJager had a triple for the Lady Warriors.
