Henderson County blanks Lady Colonels, 10-0

The Christian County Lady Colonels were held to only one hit and dropped a 10-0 high school softball game to host Henderson County in five innings on Monday.

Chloe Almy had the lone hit for Christian County, which dropped to 8-5 on the season.

Henderson scored five runs in the bottom of the second and chased Christian County starter Alyssa Petterson. The big hits were home runs by Anna Kemp and former Christian County player Saniya Shields.

The host Lady Colonels added a solo run in the third and put the game away with four more in the bottom of the fifth.

Petterson suffered the pitching loss for Christian County, which returns to action Thursday night at home against Union County.
