Henderson rolls past Lady Tigers at CCHS

The Region 2’s top team, Henderson County, had little trouble against host Hopkinsville, rolling past the Lady Tigers 76-42 Monday night in a girls’ basketball game played at Christian County High School.

The game was moved to Lyle Dunbar Gym due to a broken backboard at Tiger Gym.

Henderson jumped out to a 34-10 lead after one quarter and never looked back.

The Lady Colonels led 50-19 at halftime and pushed the lead to 65-27 entering the fourth quarter.

Hoptown fell to 6-9 on the season and was led by senior guard Alicia Davis’ 20 points. LaShanti Wilson added 12 for the Lady Tigers, who are scheduled to play Fort Campbell Tuesday February 4th in a District 8 game that will decide the No. 2 seed in the District 8 tournament.

Henderson improved to 16-4 overall and was led by Atyylia Green’s 18 points.
