With less than two weeks before opening pitch, the Christian County Public Schools announced Wednesday morning that Hopkinsville High School will not field a team for the 2025 season.
In a news release on Wednesday morning, CCPS said the season will be canceled due to a lack of interest and participation. The release said that Hopkinsville High School’s coaching staff and administration made diligent efforts to build a team, but ultimately, were unable to sufficiently fill the roster.
The focus will now shift to developing student interest and participation for future seasons, although the 2026 season was scheduled to be the last at Hopkinsville High School due to the consolidation with Christian County High School for the 2027 school year.
Bill Chaudoin was entering his second season as the Lady Tigers’ coach. The team finished 0-17 a year ago.
