A yearly tradition in Hopkinsville, the Holiday Decorating Contest always brings out fierce competition alongside the spirit of Christmas, and this year was no exception, with the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission announcing the winners recently.
In Ward 1 it was Carolsue and Richard Daigre of East Seventh Street, Ward 2 on Hilltop Drive is Ronnie and Patty Overton, Ward 3 winners were Donald and Dorothy Burrus, the victor in Ward 4 is Brian Roskoskey of Donna Drive, the Ward 5 winners were Roy and Dana Staley on Windwood Court and then in Ward 6 on Tremont Drive, the winners are Harold and Shannon Gardner.
Over in Ward 7, the Tillman Family were victorious on Martin Place, in Ward 8 the winner is Cameron Farmer on Sivley Road, Ward 9 winners were Margarita Reynolds, Anthony Dykes and William Benjamin on East 23rd Street, in Ward 10 the winners were the Velez Family on North Sunset Circle, the winners in Ward 11 were the Doyle, Ames and Samsel Family and then in Ward 12, Mark and Shari Jones were victorious on South Main Street.
The winner of the business division was West and Witherspoon Florist and the honorable mention for business is the Sixth Street Boutique.
