The Hoptown Hoppers hit the road again tonight to take on the Full Count Rhythm, weather permitting.
Hoptown enters tonight’s game a half-game behind Henderson for first place in the Ohio Valley League standings. The Hoppers are 20-8 and Henderson is 22-9.
Full Count is 15-13 and 5 1/2 games back and in third place in the league standings.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Saturday night is a special night at Hopkinsville High School’s Tiger Field as the Hoppers will play host to Paducah on “Jersey Off Their Back Night.”
All Kleen Services has purchased 250th anniversary USA jerseys worn by the Hoppers. Fans will be able to bid on their favorite Hoppers’ jersey. All Kleen is donating 100 percent of the auction proceeds to help the Hoppers purchase or lease a new team bus.
Fans can bid on the jerseys by calling or texting 270-305-4350. They can also bid on the jerseys during the game Saturday night.
Lorie Wagoner, the assistant general manager of All Kleen and Hoppers’ board member, said on the Early Bird Show Friday the auction already is off and running.
Wagoner said the auction will continue through most of the game Saturday night and it will end around 8:30 p.m.
Cash, checks, and all major credit cards are accepted.
First pitch on Saturday night is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Airtime will be 6:15 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
