Hopkinsville High School football coach Dustin Lopez released the team’s 2025 schedule on Wednesday.
Lopez said on Facebook that the Tigers will open their final season before consolidation with Christian County on August 22 against Nashville Stratford at the Stadium of Champions.
The schedule includes two games against teams from Illinois and a meeting with its oldest rival, Madisonville-North Hopkins as well as a game at Trigg County. The Tigers and Wildcats have not met on the football field since 2013.
Home games next season include games Prosser Academy (Chicago), South Warren, McCracken County, Henderson County and Web Dubois (Louisville).
Away games include Madisonville-North Hopkins, Trigg County, Carterville, Illinois, and Christian County.
Hopkinsville moves to Class 6-A next year for the final season and district games include McCracken County (Oct. 3), Henderson County (Oct. 17) and the final game against Christian County on Oct. 24. It is a four-team district, which guarantees that the Tigers and Colonels will make the playoffs next season.
