The Christian County High school girls’ wrestling team competed at the Henderson County Lady Colonel Dual Tournament over the weekend.
Christian County finished the day 2-4 with wins over Greenwood and Apollo.
Avah Miller (pictured) went 6-0 with two pins. Kira Caldwell was 5-1 and Aaliyah Henderson, De’Naejahi Allen, Serenity Avalos, and Rhyn Trahan went 4-2 on the day for the Lady Colonels.
Christian County only took six wrestlers and won every match against Apollo.
“I think the tournament was a huge confidence boost for the girls and I am very excited to see them compete the rest of the season,” said Dison Myers, who coaches both Christian County’s and Hopkinsville’s girls’ wrestling teams. These girls are battling in the practice room every day and the future of this program is definitely bright.”
