Lady Cols lock up No. 1 district seed, beat FCHS on Senior Night

The Christian County Lady Colonels accomplished three wins in one match Tuesday night when they defeated visiting Fort Campbell in a District 8 Volleyball game.

First, they honored their seniors Kaidence Atwell, Shiloh Baker, Katie Cansler, and Ashlea Russell in their final home match.

Second, they finished off an undefeated District 8 slate with the victory over the Lady Falcons.

And third, and most importantly, the Lady Colonels locked up the No. 1 seed in next week’s District 8 tournament at Lyle Dunbar Gym.

With Christian County’s victory on Tuesday, the Lady Colonels will be the top seed, followed by Heritage Christian Academy, Fort Campbell, University Heights Academy, and Hopkinsville.

The Lady Colonels’ statistics were not reported to WHOP after Tuesday’s match.

Christian County (17-15) has won two straight matches and will play its final regular season game as the Lady Colonels on Thursday night in a road match at Graves County.
