The Christian County Lady Colonels split a pair of high school softball games with Marshall County and Owensboro Catholic on Saturday at the Trigg County Complex.
In the opening game, the Lady Colonels jumped out to an 8-3 lead and held off the Lady Marshals 8-5.
Avery Adcock hit a solo home run and a double and Chloe Almy had a pair of hits to power Christian County, which took advantage of eight Marshall errors.
Adcock also earned the pitching win.
In the second game, Owensboro Catholic used a five-run third inning to take an 8-0 lead and a four-run sixth-inning to send the Lady Colonels home with a 12-2, six-inning loss.
Alyssa Petterson had a pair of hits to lead Christian County and Adcock stole a pair of bases. Alondra Rodriguez added a RBI double.
Petterson suffered the pitching loss for the Lady Colonels, who are scheduled to play host to Marshall County tonight.
