The Hopkinsville High school girls’ wrestling team competed at the Henderson County Lady Colonel Dual Tournament over the weekend.
Hopkinsville went 3-3 with wins over Louisville Valley, Greenwood, and Christian County.
Isabell Walker led the way for the Lady Tigers, finishing the day 6-0 with three pins. Rheanna Walker went 5-1 with three pins and Emma DeArmond, Juliette Aguero, and Shamya Quarles each went 4-2.
Trinitee Lopez finished the day 3-3 with a pin.
“I think the tournament was a huge confidence boost for the girls and I am very excited to see them compete the rest of the season,” said Dison Myers, who coaches both the Lady Tigers and Christian County. “These girls are battling in the practice room every day and the future of this program is definitely bright.”
